FIMO modelling has become a common hobby amongst the young. There is a lot of inherent skill but also children share their skills and tips via making charm update videos. Bishop Bushe was the first Bishop of Bristol Cathedral appointed by Henry 8th in 1542. He lasted 12 years before getting married in 1553 and then being thrown out for being a married priest in 1554. Nonetheless he has a decent tomb inside Bristol Cathedral. My interest in all this is that I am descended from him. He wrote some poetry and other small itesm that include, according to Wikipaidia ” ‘Certayne Gostly Medycynes necessary to be used among well disposed people, to eschew and avoid the comen plage of pestilence’ (Redman, no date). This is a small trac containing prayers and conjurations against the plague.”

Painshill Park is a wonderful park in surrey near Cobham, with lakes and beautiful walks. It was built with a number of follies around 250 years ago created by Charles Hamilton between 1738-1773. One of the follies is the Gothic tower which is on the edge of the A3. If one were an estate agent one might describe it as a tower with good access to pylons. these are not really paintings but my attempt to create a photographic painting through a little manipulation here and there.

Painshill Park is one of the most beautiful parks in UK in cobham, Surrey. Each year they present a number of different shows, and this year Birds of Prey was the offering in August. Henfold birds of Prey provided the show and were excellent. An almost two hour demonstration of birds flying with enough information to entertain and educate the audience without boring or frightening them away. Great selection of birds. Here are a few including a nice shot of the typical mantling behaviour.

Going to weddings is not my usual form of entertainment but when they take place publicly on the beach when on holiday then maybe its ok to have a peek. This is how you do it:
Marriott Grand Cayman
The Cayman Islands have to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Seven mile beach is just that. The downside is the cost. As I understand how things work here, no tax is paid so the government claim their money on all items sold. Hence a litany of taxes and charges are added to each and every bill. An hour in the Kirk supermarket, a lovely clean supermarket that I wish we had in UK, is sadly enough to depress one when looking at the cost of food items. Think of a UK price and then increase it between 2-4 fold.
The Island itself is full of lovely coves and beaches and snorkelling reveals hundreds of fish and other underwater paraphernalia. The hateful sea urchins live surprisingly close to the shore, maybe less than 10 yards in places. Even 20 yards from shore there are moray eel type fish living in their little holes, spitting sand at snorkelers.
Starfish Point is well worth visiting , to see guess what, Starfish. In 20 minutes we also saw a wild dolphin, sea cucumber and an odd red jellyfish. The point is accessible by car but you need to know where to go and where to park. Most visitors come by boat and spend maybe 30 minutes there whilst we spent 2 hours. A hot place and there is no shade and no facilities of any kind. The official boat trips seem to come earlier in the day and the starfish are collected from a little way out and you can find maybe 6 easily in the shallow waters, maybe more. So, midday is not a bad time to go.

Aqualand is a great water park, make no mistake. However before yesterday we had only visited in May/June time. Yesterday it was an awful experience and really ought to consider a few aspects of its functioning.
Facilities are good but go there out of season next time. We are. Last comment would be that on a positive side places like this are great for employment. Spain has youth unemployment rates of around 57%, and most of the staff here were not only nice but certaintly under 25 years.
Aqualand. Torremolinos
A place that I have never before been to but will return. One of our friends is a painter and hence we accompanied them to an exhibition there. All new to me. What did I learn?
All in all a great day out and I might even chance my luck to get some of my photographs accepted for the exhibition. Prices for the paintings and most were for sale, ranged from £100- £100,000. We were with a great UK painter, Ann Wildgust.
