Cobham FC Ground

Cobham FC play in the Combined Counties league and it seems Mole Valley SVR also of the CCL play their games there. A real little gem of a ground. Proper non league football. One main  stand and a fence around the pitch perimeter. Long grass surrounds the whole area. Small metallic structure behind a goal that could constitute the away end. Blue lines mark out the pitch, which I kind of liked and a banner from 2010 decorated part of the fence. This is a home of real football.

The Corn Angel

This half of corn was just sitting in the kitchen and looked just like an angel. Nothing extra has been done to the corn. Holy Corn.

Rosmarino Restaurant Worcester Park

I bought a Tastecard a few years ago, 29£ per year giving discounts usually 50% on food and many restaurants in UK. to begin with their selection was limited but things have improved a lot. We picked this restaurant at random. We visited friday lunchtime having checked they accept the card then, not in the evening though on friday. We sat outside on a lovely large patio and all was superb. The menu is large enough to be good choice but not too large as to give too much choice.
Food was great. Starters of Bruschetta and Aubergine, main course of Sea Bass and chicken and asparagus, and dessert of apple crumble and tiramisu. simple Orvieto for wine. If we had no wine, no coffee and no service the food would have cost only 27£ for two using  Tastecard!
Really recommend here especially if you can sit outside. In fact even without the Tastecard the food prices are not so much more than other average food chains.

Strawberries, Ducks and Opium. What next?

With a little bit of sun gardens are coming to life. Some plants are already dieing off, Poppies and Chives for example. Strawberries however are making a grand appearance but a badly behaved duck is inclined to spoil the party!

New Painting by British Artist Vincent Van B

A new painting entitled Poverty.

Please do spread the word on this new and exciting young artist. He comes from a hairdressing background, where hairdressing and not painting exist.

The Animals of Farthing Wood go down to Painshill Park Cobham

A grey day but some of the creatures came out to play

A grebe and a fish

A goose with a wish

A ruined abbey at the end of the day

A swan who dribbles

A goose what quibbles

And a fish that had had its say

Met Police 7 Cray Wanderers 1

A rather one-sided Ryman premier game where the home side were 5-0 up at half time and the second half became damage limitation from Cray.
