New Malden Opium ?

Not quite. but these poppies cannot seem to keep their heads when things are going on around them!

Strawberries, Ducks and Opium. What next?

With a little bit of sun gardens are coming to life. Some plants are already dieing off, Poppies and Chives for example. Strawberries however are making a grand appearance but a badly behaved duck is inclined to spoil the party!

Excitement in the Chives

The garden starts to come alive with some sun and water. Poppies do decent impersonations of Triffids. Chives just look great.

Poppies in the garden

One of the more hateful denizens of our garden, squirrels are the chief suspect, seems to have knocked down one of the growing poppies. Resultingly this humble little angiosperm had to be taken inside to be cared for upon which two large petals fell off. Cue time to get the Macro lens and get some spontaneous poppy photos. Enjoy.
