Paintings of Iceland

Iceland is a land of waterfalls and geyers. What if they erupted again as a volcanic island? What would the Geysers and Waterfalls look like. Here you have my impressions.  To see much more of my photography please visit

Goose Painting

Royal Academy of Art London

A place that I have never before been to but will return. One of our friends is a painter and hence we accompanied them to an exhibition there. All new to me. What did I learn?

  • They sell good ice creams and nice to sit in the courtyard
  • The Royal Society of Chemistry is right next door as in the same courtyard
  • Paintings that are good to one person are not necessarily to another
  • Some paintings looked incredible and others looked like they done in pre-school

All in all a great day out and I might even chance my luck to get some of my photographs accepted for the exhibition. Prices for the paintings and most were for sale, ranged from £100- £100,000. We were with a great UK painter, Ann Wildgust.

Since when did 12 year olds design Renaissance Churches for their homework?

I am living it seems in a parallel universe and clearly was away the day, week or month, they taught us how to design a Renaissance church. This is a weekend homework item. Two versions scanned in, neither played with, the first greyscale and the second monochrome.  I remain impressed……..

The World wide Web. Spiders and their contribution

Usually none of the family are fond of spiders but last week I kind of came to admire them. Watching them spin webs in the garden connecting plants and pots to make amazing works of art called Webs. The intricate patterns and their patience suggested that ADHD does not exist amongst the spider fraternity.  A few photographs to demonstrate their artistic triumphs. By accident I partially destroyed one of the webs, maybe even this one photographed here and I felt rather guilty.
