Nonleague Football Folks. A Photographic Medley

Watching non-league football sometimes allows one to watch some of the other spectators. The football action at Met Police V Bury Town was at times so one sided that one gentleman spent the whole half facing in one direction. Boys being boys behind the goal, eating and climbing and being boy like. Girls all walking together around the ground. Bury Town away fans taking their banner down as their team went 3-1 down in the first half. All good cabaret if the football was not good enough, and actually the football was excellent yesterday.

Met Police 4 Bury Town 1. Photos and brief report

Met Police are a club who have always played good football. They now seem embedded in the Ryman Premier and also have a decent ground.  Bury scored first with an unmarked header, but from then on it was one way traffic with some good Met Police goals. Both keepers were busy and have some good moments and also a few ghastly moments. enjoy.

Carshalton 0 Hythe Town 3

There are plenty of better match reports so I will leave you with the photos only. The game was an incredibly photogenic game with more jumping and lunging than I recall from most games. The result speaks for itself. Three decent goals. I remain confused about the goalkeepers position for the first goal. Excellent day out. Carshalton can be really recommended as a great club to go and watch football at.

Football folks- A unique breed really. Carpe Diem or should I say YOLO? Photographic treatise.

If I published these photos with no captions, most of us could guess that these characters have something to do with football. Why is it that football folks have to look like football folks? enjoy

Mole Valley SVR v Carshalton AFC FA Cup Preliminary Round 2014

A tremendous game of football that was far closer for much of the game than the eventual scoreline of 1-5 would suggest. Some great banter and cabaret on the touchline between the coaching staff.

Cobham FC Ground

Cobham FC play in the Combined Counties league and it seems Mole Valley SVR also of the CCL play their games there. A real little gem of a ground. Proper non league football. One main  stand and a fence around the pitch perimeter. Long grass surrounds the whole area. Small metallic structure behind a goal that could constitute the away end. Blue lines mark out the pitch, which I kind of liked and a banner from 2010 decorated part of the fence. This is a home of real football.

Are Blue lines allowed as football pitch markings in FA Cup? Mole Valley SCR v Carshalton Athletic

At the preliminary round stage of the FAcup today, MoleValley SCR v Carshalton Athletic played at Cobham FC, all the pitch markings were blue. I have never seen this before? Is this common? Is this allowed?

The Shard

The porcelain poppies live in the moat area around the Tower of London. The Shard looks like it is almost next door. They make great contrasts. It is very difficult to catch the emotion that surrounds the poppies and the darkness that once surrounded the Tower of London where so many were executed. The Shard is over 1000 ft and is the highest Champagne bar in London. Construction started in 2003 and it has 72 floors. The Shard also is the tallest building in the EU. On the 72nd floor at around 800 feet there is an open air observation deck for those who like heights.London Bridge Quarter which incorporates The Shard,  is today jointly owned by the State of Qatar and Sellar Property. If you want to know whats on each floor then Wikipaedia tell us this:
