Should Football Managers Harangue Officials on the pitch? Tommy Williams and Kingstonian

As a football fan I see plenty of occasions each game where the officials get it wrong and sometimes badly so. Having said that players and managers also are culpable of making errors plenty of times in any given game. I do however take a view that officials should be allowed to do their jobs with the expectation that they will not be perfect and certainly should be protected from on-pitch haranguing and demonstrations of anger on the pitch itself. At the recent Met Police v Kingstonian game at half time, immediately before which Met Police had scored direct from a corner, the officials were approached by the Kingstonian manager Tommy Williams clearly angry at some percieved error of judgement, and in a finger waving manner. We all in non-league should have respect for the officials and I personally cannot condone this behaviour. I am sure there are other views out there and it would be interesting to hear them.

Ricky Sappleton

Ricky Sappleton is a Jamaican born forward playing in 2015-16 for Kingstonian. having joined last summer from Billericay. Having started of with QPR he made one first team appearance for Leicester City before moving to non league . A giant of a forward with strength as a clear attribute he is not slow either and a few action shots from the Met Police 2 Kingstonian game show this nicely.

Football Fans at Carshalton V Kingstonian

The fantastic thing about football is the whole variety of people who support football clubs and nowehere is this more marked than in non-league football. One would not be surprised to see fans driving in in Jaguars, Mercedes, Cycles, Penny Farthings and rowing boats, such is the variability. The key thing is that they love football and it was a delight to see 391 fans today at Carshalton V Kingstonian. Carshalton must be one of the most community based clubs around and althought having a difficult season that might end up with relegation, still carry on regardless.

Paul Vines and Kingstonian FC. How the hair has changed. Great Style

Paul Vines is one of the best finishers I have seen at this Ryman League level and have always been somewhat surprised that he has not played much higher standard football, perhaps conference level. He is now back with Kingstonian and sporting a somewhat different hairstyle to when i last saw him play for Carshalton. Maybe the most interesting hairstyle in the Ryman league?

Carshalton 1 Kingstonian 3. Photos.

Not a good day for Carshalton who in the end were well beaten. Despite going in 1-0 down at half time the game could have gone either way until two quick kingstonian goals killed the game. A decent crowd today 391. Carshalton still do not look a bad side but are going to have get points out of tough games like this if they are going to stay up. Kingstonian look like play off contenders and with Paul Vines in their side could be dangerous for any team. A good game, lots of action and not too much niggle. a good day out.

Not a bad photography month for me either as a humble amateur, four programme front covers, photos in four programmes, photos in local papers, photos on Ryman League website and photos on Surrey FA website. Enjoying this. Makes it all worthwhile.

Kingstonian 2 Wealdstone 0. Photos

A grey day but far from a grey game. A Ryman Premier game played at a fast pace and with no little skill. The game could have gone either way with both these high-flying but inconsistent teams pushing for play-offs at a minimum. My prediction is that they will indeed meet at some stage post-season. Kingstonian, although playing at their ground, in fact groundshare with AFC Wimbledon and as a result the ground is a grand place to play Ryman League football. The floodlights also though far from perfect, are not at all bad for this level. The usual 10£ entry and 2£ for a decent programme, but £4.30 for a burger and kit-kat is a little steep, and in fact was the worst non-league burger I have sampled for some time. Before you ask, the best was Tooting.

A crowd of 451 watched the game, and I would estimate that at least 150 came from Wealdstone. There are far better places to get match reports than here but essentially Weladstone dominated the first-half and should have gone in ahead. The second half Kingstonian played with far better pace and passion and fully deserved their 2-0 victory and even had a player sent off for two yellow cards. Altogether a good day out and in terms of an overall football experience I would score it 7/10 which compares with Tooting last week which struggled to make it 3/10.
